I have worked extensively with children in various therapeutic settings, and have gained tremendous experience understanding the unique needs that children possess. In addition, I have provided support and taught various parenting techniques to parents, which I believe are an essential part of helping children who are presenting with a wide array of challenges. Throughout my career as a clinician, and prior to becoming a therapist, I served and have continued to serve a wide range of children with various mental health issues as well as disabilities. These experiences have allowed me to implement creative strategies and utilize alternate modalities of therapy with young clients, including the use of play and art therapy.

As many children, especially very young children, do not possess the language or cognitive processing abilities that adults do, alternate modalities of therapy allow children to express themselves and resolve inner emotional conflicts in a way that comes very naturally to them: play. I have been afforded the very special experience of watching children grow emotionally, repair familial connections, and flourish with the use of therapy.
