Trauma Informed Yoga Retreats

Join us for meditation, trauma informed yoga, healing, hiking, swimming and relaxation at Ojas Retreat Center in Temecula, CA February and August, 2025. All practices are led by Mary Ortenburger, LMFT, RYT-500, SEP in training and certified yoga therapist, C-IAYT. Our individual retreat will be held in August and will host up to 16 individuals. Our February retreat is for any first responders or military veterans.

Retreat Itinerary:

Individual Trauma Informed Retreat – August 2025

Day 1: Arrival and Establishing Connection

  • Arrival and Welcome 3PM.
    • Welcoming participants, helping them get settled in, and encouraging informal interaction.
    • Opening Circle and Icebreakers: A group gathering to introduce the program, set intentions, and participate in connection-focused icebreakers.
    • Yoga: Guided yoga session with poses that encourage stability, grounding, and body connection.
    • Dinner and Rest: A healthy and nourishing meal followed by some downtime.
  • Evening
    • Evening Restorative Practice 

Day 2: Healing Practices 

  • Morning
    • Mindful Breathing and Meditation: A session to start the day with calmness and presence.
    • Optional Hike
    • Breakfast
    • Trauma Informed Workshop: A workshop on trauma, healing practices, and the impact of trauma on the nervous system, inner child healing, and parental wounding.
  • Afternoon
    • Yoga and Somatic Practices: Engaging activities designed to enhance somatic awareness and release.

First Responder and Military Retreat  – February 2025

Trauma-Informed Yoga and Meditation: Engage in daily yoga and meditation sessions specifically adapted to support the healing of first responders and military personnel. These sessions incorporate trauma-informed principles to create a safe and supportive environment, allowing you to gently explore and release stored tension and trauma.

Specialized Yoga Practices: Our retreat leader is certified in Warriors at Ease, Yoga Nidra for Military and First Responders, trauma-informed yoga, somatic therapy, and yoga therapy. These specialized practices are integrated into the retreat to offer deep relaxation, stress reduction, and enhanced mental clarity.

Our retreat is led by an experienced and compassionate professional who is both a certified yoga therapist and a licensed psychotherapist. With extensive training and certifications in Warriors at Ease, Yoga Nidra for Military and First Responders, trauma-informed yoga, somatic therapy, and yoga therapy, our leader brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to support your healing journey.

Retreat Cost:

Trauma Informed Retreats: $1,100 per person (individual) to $1,100 per person to $1200 per person for couples depending on suite-first come, first serve basis)
$600 non-refundable non-transferable deposit due upon sign up, full payment due by:

  • July 19th, 2024 for August retreat
  • January 5th, 2025 for February Retreat

Emotionally Focused Couples Yoga Retreat, Trauma Informed

  • $2,450 per couple for ensuite bathroom (private room)
    • Deposit: $1,300 upon sign up per couple
    • $1,150 due April 26th, 2024.
  • $2,200 per couple for shared bathroom (private room)
    • Deposit: $1,100 upon sign up
    • $1,000 due by April 26th, 2024

First Responder and Military Trauma Informed Retreat

    • Deposit: $600 upon sign up
    • Total payment of $1,000-$1,200 according to room preference/availability

Mountain View: 4 beds with en-suite bathroom and balcony. Cost per bed $1200

Lotus Room: 3 beds with en-suite bathroom and balcony. Cost per bed $1200

Hawk’s Nest: 3 beds with en-suite bathroom. Opens to the courtyard. Cost per bed $1200

Sage and Avocado: 2 beds per room with shared hallway bathroom. Cost per bed $1000

Owl Box: 2 beds with en suite bathroom. Attaches to the yoga studio. Cost per bed $1100
